Up for sale is a Genuine Nissan Engine Control Computer Module (ECM, ECU, PCM, PCU, Brain Box) from a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE with the 1.8L engine. 
 
The Nissan / Hitachi part number on the computer is JA56Q52 or JA56Q52 B71, also identified by 5ZE1EN or EN.

This will fit 2001 and 2002 Nissan Sentras with the 1.8L engine, using the same part number.

It is the buyer's responsibility to verify that this is the needed part number before ordering!!

This unit has never been wet, and was removed from a running vehicle which was salvaged only due to a rear-end collision. The vehicle ran great and there were no diagnostic codes present but the body damage was too expensive to repair, so the vehicle was salvaged. 

The pictures are of the actual item listed for sale. The covers were removed only to illustrate the great condition of the circuit board and its components.

The retail price on the computer is nearly $800.00 from Nissan dealers. Much, much less here for a quality used part with plenty of life left!! 

This unit may need to be programmed (flashed) to your specific vehicle before proper operation; please check with your mechanic or dealer to find out more.

As with all electronic parts, you will need to ensure that this is the part needed before ordering or installing on your vehicle. Please have a dealer or qualified technician determine this. This part is not intended to be a diagnostic tool. Engine computers rarely fail on their own, failure is usually caused by a failed sensor, wiring issue or water contamination. Failure to repair the root cause of the problem first will result in repeat failure of the computer module!

MINI Countryman to be built in India

MINI sells worldwide – even in the US – and, despite claims it was a step too far for the brand, the MINI Countryman has been a big hit for MINI, offering as it does most of MINI’s charm but in a bigger, more family friendly package and with the option of All4 4WD for a degree of off-road ability (well, certainly the ability to treat boot sale car parks with disdain). Now, for the first time, BMW is to build the MINI outside Europe with a new MINi assembly facility coming on stream in Chennai, India, where BMW already makes 3 and 5 Series models as well as the X1 and X3. The plan is part of BMW’s plan of ‘Production follows the market’ where BMW aim to make their cars where they’re sold, so with the MINI brand showing strong growth in India since its launch it makes sense to build them there.

In essence this follows on from the Metroproject that Audi unveiled last year. Slightly bigger in five-door guise than the Mini, Audi is keen to play on the A1’s practicality as well as its aspirational qualities.

The Jaguar XJ has always been an impressive car (well, if you ignore some of the periods of unreliability since it launched in the 1960s) and the last ‘traditional, 3-box XJ was very similar under the skin to the new swoopy coupe version that had transformed the fortunes of the XJ in the luxury car market. It just didn’t sell. That was changed with the latest XJ which comes with stunning (if, perhaps, slightly divisive styling).
