This is an original remote keyless entry produced by the factory. It works on the 2001-2004 DODGE DAKOTA, all models with factory remote keyless entry. In order to program this remote to your truck, you must have one working remote in order to add another remote to the remote keyless entry system. If you do not have one working remote, then you cannot program it to your truck by yourself. You will have to take it to a Dodge dealer or a locksmith to program this first remote to your truck.
