Jaguar Land Rover reveals huge profits growth
Mon, 11 Nov 2013Jaguar Land Rover has reported half-year profits have broken the £1 billion barrier, with profit before tax of £1.083 billion marking a massive 42% year-on-year increase. Profits in the last three months alone were £668 million, said the firm. Tue, 01 Nov 2011Hyundai Veloster to get new 204bhp Turbo When Hyundai revealed details of the Veloster Coupe – the successor to the successful Hyundai Coupe – we found lots we liked and, really, just on thing we didn’t – its paucity of power. All the new Veloster had to offer was the 138bhp 1.6 litre GDI petrol which, although quite frugal, didn’t exactly light a fire of desire for the Veloster in the way we would have liked. So when we reported a couple of weeks ago that Hyundai had revealed a couple of new engines in Korea – a 204bhp turbo and a 150bhp diesel – we rather hoped that Hyundai would see fit to bolt both in to the Veloster sooner rather than later.
Pontiac G8 may get a second life as the Chevrolet Caprice, Lutz says

General Motors is studying the feasibility of reusing the rear-wheel-drive performance sedan for law enforcement and the general public, vice chairman Bob Lutz said in an online chat Monday. “The G8 has finally been discovered by a broader percentage of the buying public,” Lutz said on GM's FastLane blog.
