Ferrari 599XX evolves with more power, less weight and a movable wing

Ferrari used the Bologna motor show to unveil an evolution of the 599XX sports berlinetta. It's an enhanced version of the 599 GTB Fiorano that is purely for track use--it stays with the company even after you buy it. You are invited to drive at track days, from which Ferrari uses telemetry, but you aren't allowed to put it in your garage.

It arguably had the best show stand gimmick at Frankfurt too – a giant Fiat 500 model the size of a two-storey building housing a monorail on which punters could ride life-size 500 cars around its innards – entered through the giant 500’s wheel arch. Anyway… what about this eco Panda thingy… Oh yes, the Fiat Aria ‘concept’ is subtle like that.

Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato Sanction II The Aston Martin sale at Newport Pagnell in May has one of the four Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Sanction II Coupés ever built up for sale. The Ferrari 250 GTO may have shown the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato a clean pair of heels on track and gone on to be perhaps the most expensive car on the planet. But the truth is the Aston Martin is far more beautiful.
