Whiplash claim legal costs rising

GOVERNMENT attempts to reduce legal costs from whiplash injury claims seem to be failing. The average legal costs for small, whiplash-like third party injury (TPI) claims now stand at £2,500 per claimant, according to a report by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. The institute said this was a 15% increase since 2010 "when the Ministry of Justice introduced new measures which sought, in part, to contain legal costs".

GERMAN premium car maker Audi has announced plans to launch a new, small SUV in 2016 called the Q1. Slotting in below the firm’s existing Q3 model, its hoped the Q1 will help make a significant contribution to the company’s ongoing growth and will strengthen its international competitiveness as it expands into new markets and more countries. 2014 Dodge Journey SE gets a V6 and all-wheel drive

Chrysler is upgrading the 2014 Dodge Journey SE by giving it all-wheel-drive capability and a V6 engine under the hood. The SE will start out at $25,890 including destination, which is $1,800 cheaper than the more highly equipped SXT model. Dodge's seven-passenger Journey comes with features like 17-inch wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, seven airbags, 4.3-inch touchscreen, Keyless push-button start and power-heated mirrors.
