Study finds parents struggle with proper safety-seat use

Car crashes are the leading cause of death for kids ages three to 14, and a study released by New Safe Kids USA on Sept. 15--pegged to draw attention to National Child Passenger Safety Week, which starts on Sept. 18--shows that while parents are getting better in the proper use of child safety seats, there is room for improvement.

Porsche Design creates Shisha pipe

Porsche has designed a Shisha pipe as part of their Porsche Design World Collection. The Shisha will be the latest addition to the collection, which already ranges from chopsticks to a tea and soup set as well as fashion items such as a polo shirt, a jacket and a silk scarf. The pipe, made in Germany, stands at 55cm tall and is made up of materials such as glass, aluminum and stainless steel.

Volkswagen Passat Alltrack: The VW Allroad arrives

The VW Passat Alltrack - debuts in Tokyo Volkswagen has jumped on to the Allroad bandwagon with its own take on Audi’s faux off-roader, with the reveal of the 2012 VW Passat Alltrack. As you would expect, the Passat Alltrack is a butched-up Passat Estate with a raised ride height, extra bits of plastic round the bumpers, skid plates, flared side sills and 4WD – VW’s 4MOTION – for more traction in boot sale car parks.
