Golf SV Gains Five-Star Safety Rating

VOLKSWAGEN’S new Golf SV has received the top safety award of five stars from the independent Euro NCAP organisation. With its top-class package of safety features made up of robust vehicle body structure, highly effective combination of seat belts, seats and airbags, plus innovative driver assistance systems the Golf SV has been judged as one of the world's safest cars. The overall safety rating of five stars for the Golf SV is made up from the results in four categories: occupant protection for adults and children, pedestrian protection and safety assistance.

Nissan Design 50th Anniversary exhibition

As part of last year's celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Nissan Design, Nissan Motor Company held an exhibition entitled 'Passion & Imagination: Nissan Design 50th Anniversary & Future' at its two galleries in Ginza, downtown Tokyo from late July to mid-August. Both galleries were crowded with more than 48,000 visitors in total. The exhibition showcased the historical achievements of Nissan's design department over the last fifty years, as well as its future design vision.

Saab turns down takeover offer from Chinese investors

Swedish Automobile, owner of Saab, has turned down a takeover offer from China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Co. and Pang Da Automobile Trade Co. Youngman and Pa Dang signed a nonbinding memorandum in July to take a combined 53.9 percent stake in Swedish Automobile for about $338 million.
