Bentley will return to top-level motorsport

Bentley will return to top-level motorsport, new chief executive Wolfgang Durheimer has revealed. Bentley pulled out of racing after its 2001-2003 stint at Le Mans, culminating in an outright win in its last year at the 24-hour race. But Durheimer, who was previously Porsche's R&D chief and who now runs the Volkswagen Group's entire motorsport division, is keen that Bentley will return to the track and revive Crewe's long and storied motorsport history.

THE NEW Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet has been revealed ahead of its launch at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The model takes a largely familiar format to modals that have gone before it, but this time the German firm is releasing two Turbo models at the same time. The 513bhp Turbo Cabriolet will be the entry point to the forced-induction 911 duo, starting at £126,766 before options.

New diesel engine for revised Meriva

VAUXHALL’s clever Meriva compact MPV is to benefit from a new 1.6-litre diesel engine. The quieter, smoother and more efficient engine replaces the aging 1.7-litre unit that had been in service across the Vauxhall, Chevrolet and other General Motors brands for many years.
