This kit eliminates the clutch and band slippage common with the OEM calibration and furnishes super positve gear changes throughout the entire operating range. Shift firmness increases with throttle angle, delivering firm but not harsh shifts at low speed, and that firm chirp we all know and love at wide open throttle.

The main focus of this kit is to reduce clutch and band slippage common with the factory hydraulic calibration. This easy to install kit includes all the necessary parts to recalibrate the hydraulic circuitry of the GM2004R transmission for high performance street and dragstrip usage.New .555" TV boost valve, and .300" intermediate boost valves and a heavy duty pressure regulator spring significantly raise transmission mainline pressure to increase clutch and band apply pressures. A new custom designed CKPERFORMANCE seperator plate is included to increase the flow of oil to the friction elements as well as delete unneccessary circuits . Re-engineered springs for the accumulator valve, line bias,1/2 accumulator ,and 3/4 accumulator, and an updated 3/4 accumulator piston introduce a throttle sensitive accumulator and pressure rise system that meets the demands of high output engines. This reduces friction element failure and excessive heat build up during and after ratio changes. This kit allows the shifts to get shorter and firmer as the throttle is opened, resulting in clean ,positive gear changes at all throttle angles Most kits do not have this feature engineered into them resulting in brutal part throttle shifts that beat and break internal components as well as generate many new drivability complaints.Hundreds of these kits are in use and this kit is recognized as the best of its kind.includes all the necessary gaskets and instructions. Please note that high performance applications will benefit from the use of a larger intermediate servo to multiply the clamping force applied to the intermediate band.If your transmission is not from an 86 / 87 Buick Grand National or 89 Turbo Trans Am which was factory equipt with a high performance intermediate servo assembly, the use of a high performance servo assembly should be considered.

Students of the Masters in Transportation Design course at Pforzheim University in Germany have been working on a rather special project: to create designs for ‘off-track' cars for Honda's F1 drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, incorporating Honda's environmentally conscious fuel-cell technology. Sponsored by Honda R&D Europe, the project has been running for the last three years. This year the vehicles had to be designed with a theme based on a GP host country of each student's choice.
