Second highest was Hyundai, whose shares rose 4.8% in the same period (Bloomberg)• Fisker has a new chief executive officer, as founder Henrik Fisker moves to executive chairman. This is the latest track-focused race car bound for 2015’s GT3 championship and is based on the McLaren 650S and the same carbonfibre MonoCell chassis. Large air intakes and a massive front splitter dominate the new McLaren’s front end, giving it a more aggressive look while new lightweight carbonfibre bodywork wraps around redesigned air intakes for better cooling.
GMs Henderson offers a ray of hope for Sky, Solstice
Mon, 11 May 2009There appears to be a slight glimmer of hope for fans of the Saturn Sky and the Pontiac Solstice. CEO Fritz Henderson said that General Motors would be willing to sell its Wilmington, Del., plant, which builds the Sky and the Solstice--two eye-catching performance cars--if a buyer specifically wanted those niche products, similar to what Chrysler offered with its Dodge Viper business.
