Bentley Continental SuperSports Spotted
Sat, 16 May 2009The Bentley Continental Supersports caught out testing before its UK launch next year [ad#ad-1] Bentley introduced us the the ‘Green’ Bentley Continental Supersports at the Geneva Motor Show in February, and they are now out shaking the car down in Europe – our snappers caught the Supersports out on the road near the Nurburgring. Clearly identifiable as a Supersports from the bonnet vents and the huge air scoops at the front, this 621bhp monster is due to go on sale in the UK in the New Year. Bentley engineers have increased the output of the Supersports to a really massive 621bhp by fettling the new Bentley to run on Bioethanol E85 and the modification of the injectors and valves, allowing the same performance whether the car is run on E85 or regular petrol.
Gumpert back with the Gumpert Tornante at Geneva
Tue, 25 Jan 2011The Gumpert Tornante will debut at Geneva We realised at the end of last Summer that Gumpert had been very quiet. We’d run a few stories – for example when theĀ Gumpert Apollo S et a Nurburgring record – but really, very little. And then we discovered that Gumpert had been on the edge of financial oblivion and had laid off almost all its staff.
Lewis Hamilton on Pole for 2014 Italian Grand Prix
Sat, 06 Sep 2014Lewis Hamilton on Pole for 2014 Italian Grand Prix F1 hasn’t been kind to Lewis Hamilton in 2014, especially with Nico Rosberg running in to him at Spa, but Hamilton is back on track with his firstĀ pole position since May and, better still, he did it by leaving Nico Rosberg in second place a comfortable 0.274s behind. That performance will no doubt help Hamilton’s state of mind as he battles Rosberg for the drivers championship, but he still has a mountain to climb as Mercedes’ sanctions on Rosberg don’t include a ‘resting’ race to level the playing field. And with just seven races to go, a 29 point deficit is a big deficit to make up.
