The Groupon juggernaut rolled into auto retailing last week, and dealers around the nation watched intently to see whether the online coupon phenomenon could drive herds of shoppers into showrooms. McLaren unveils new supercar

After years of spy shots and speculation, McLaren Automotive finally took the wraps off its latest supercar, the MP4-12C. The MP4-12C follows the McLaren F1 (1993-1998) and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (2003-2009). McLaren Automotive says the MP4-12C is the first in a line of new sports cars it will produce, but won't say when or how many more will come.

Automakers need love, not just quality, Strategic Vision study shows

Strategic Vision, a company that studies how and why consumers make decisions, released its yearly Total Quality Index on July 12, and the results might be surprising. The study found that love--how much or what part of a car that people like--is more important than the number of problems a car has when choosing a vehicle. For example Ford, which was a quality leader in the study, received a number of complaints about its Sync system.
