The UPD over-driven harmonic balancer/crank pulley kit is a replacement balancer assembly for the 2009 & newer CTS-V Cadillac and Camaro ZL1 2012 and up   Adds 3-4 lbs of boost with tune. This 9.55 baalncer represents a seamless, strong and simple way to add boost, and horsepower to your supercharged Cadillac/ ZL1 Camaro without making any permanent modification The UPD performance balancer out specs all other competitors,as the UPD balancer is specifically desinged for the Supercharged CTS-V/ Zl1 and not a universal balancer hub that just adapts to your high performance vehicle`s crankshaft. * Hard Nitride coated hub VS competitors painted hub * Hardened Chrome moly CNC machined 4130 steel balancer hub VS competitors mild steel hub. * SFI approved harmonic balancer * Ultra strong, interchangeable, and hard annodized aluminum boost rings * The UPD high performance balancer is precision CNC machined in the USA and installs directly in place of the factory unit. The balancer and crank ring assembly weighs only 12.5 lbs, compared to 16.2 lbs for the factory steel unit. Installation of this kit removes significant rotating mass from the engines rotating assembly. Our ultra hardened aluminum CNC machined crank pulley rings bolt directly to the new balancer using the provided fasteners and are light but stronger than other aluminum rings offered on the market, so when adding big HP, you can be assure your boost ring does not flex under load! Once the balancer assembly is installed, changing the outer ring to adjust the boost level is simply a matter of six allen head fasteners. Includes 9.55 pulley and balancer only.  New larger belt , new crank bolt and idler offset bracket will be needed.

Saab 9-3 Convertible Independence Edition

Sat, 19 Feb 2011

The Saab 9-3 Convertible Independence Edition Last week we ran a story about Saab’s Concept for the Geneva Motor Show, which we expect to be a concept version of the new Saab 9-3, but could be a first look at the smaller Saab 9-2. What we did say in that report was that apart from the Saab Concept we would see the debut of the Saab 9-5 SportCombi and a couple of limited edition Saab 9-3s – one of them a convertible. Well, with a week or so to go to the Geneva Motor Show, the limited edition Saab 9-3 convertible has leaked out through the well-informed Saabs United as the Saab 9-3 Convertible Independence Edition.

Concept Car of the Week: Dodge Deora (1967)

Fri, 02 May 2014

Half concept car, half custom but all awesome, the Dodge Deora was designed by former GM designer Harry Bentley Bradley for the famous car customizers the Alexander brothers who wanted to build a radical custom truck using one of the Big Three's new cabover mini-pickups. They relied on Bradley's futuristic drawings to seduce Chrysler who eventually agreed to provide a stripped down A100 truck for them to customize although the final design shares almost nothing with the original donor car. The cabin was radically chopped and integrated into the rest of the body and – after its suspension was also lowered – the overall height of the Deora was reduced by a whopping 380mm.
