New Jaguar XJ – Detail Review
Sat, 11 Jul 2009The new Jaguar XJ - we look in detail at what's on offer The Launch Despite our moans about some of the teases that went on in the run-up to the launch of the XJ, we can’t dispute that they worked for Jaguar. The interest was pretty much unprecedented, and one or two big car web sites crashed during the day of the launch because of huge numbers of visitors looking for information on the new XJ. We didn’t crash (thankfully) but our traffic doubled on the day, and thousands of you watched the launch live on Cars UK.
Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S
Thu, 13 Sep 2007By Guy Bird Motor Shows 13 September 2007 01:40 Welcome to the sportiest Quattroporte yet If the recently launched Sport GT version of Maserati’s flagship Quattroporte wasn’t quite sharp enough for you, now there’s yet another version to choose: the Sport GT S. The Italian firm is calling it the 'ultimate expression of Maserati’s flagship car sportiness'. Power remains the same but the whole suspension set-up has been tightened.
Tata Nano (2008): first official pictures
Thu, 10 Jan 2008By John Sootheran First Official Pictures 10 January 2008 09:33 Shove over a bit Henry Ford, Ferry Porsche and Alec Issigonis, because as of this morning there's a new entrant for the People's Car Hall of Fame. The first day of the Indian Auto Expo 2008 in Delhi, saw Ratan N Tata (yes, the fella who's leading the bid for Jaguar and Land Rover) reveal his much vaunted 'one lakh' car (that's 100,000 rupees or a measly £1300). Despite being the Chairman and CEO of one of the world's biggest corporations, Ratan Tata admits to being a nervous presenter, so much so, that the initial information was presented by his hologram! When he did appear, it was behind the wheel of one of three 'one lakh' cars being driven onto the stage. The 3000-strong audience of press and VIPs went beserk amid scenes of euphoria last witnessed at the Clinton comeback in New Hampshire.
