The real Bond car: Aston Martin that inspired 007 for sale

Wed, 21 May 2014

A gadget-packed Aston Martin that’s said to have been the inspiration behind James Bond’s Aston Martin in Goldfinger has been revealed in London prior to going up for auction at Blenheim Palace in July. Years of research – and the nine-month nut and bolt renovation – followed, producing what auctioneers believe is a car that, if the right people are in the auction crowd, could make the owners very rich indeed.

It's already sold in Switzerland and Norway, German sales begin in winter 2010 and - if the trial goes well - UK sales could kick off in autumn 2011.

Not only has Land Rover weathered the storm of world financial meltdown – despite its products being at the premium end of the scale – it has also managed to thrive despite the protestations of the eco-mentalists that Land Rover’s products are destroying the planet.
