We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. To participate in the 24 Hours of LeMons you not only need a sub-$500 car, but you also have to find a gimmick.

Audi A4 2.0 TDIe Revealed

Audi has released details of their third 'e' car - The Audi A4 2.0 TDIe In another in the series of ‘Here’s an even lower emission model than the last one’ series, Audi has announced details of the Audi A4 2.0 TDIe, a 2.0 litre A4 which manages to cut emissions and lower fuel consumption. The A4 TDIe will supplement the existing A4 2.0 litre TDI range – 118bhp, 141bhp and 158bhp – and becomes the third Audi to get the ‘e’ badge – the others being the Audi A3 1.9 TDIe and the Audi A6 2.0 TDIe Audi’s range of TDIe cars use a very similar route to other manufacturers to achieve some pretty spectacular headline figures. This new A4 2.0 TDIe gets the same frugal engine as the A6 2.0 TDIe, which offers 134bhp from it 2.0 litre common-rail diesel.

Nissan NV200: Nissan’s take on the London Taxi

Nissan is taking on the Black Cab market with the Nissan NV200 London Taxi, expected to go on sale in 2014 from around £30k. It may not be the biggest market in the car world, but the profile of the London Taxi makes it a worthwhile target for car makers. Mercedes recently took on the traditional Black Cab with their Vito-based taxi and did a very good job – but at a price; the Mercedes Vito Cab costs around £42k, almost £10k more than the traditional London Taxi.
