Are your headlights, parking lights, and interior lights looking pretty dim?  Do you have an upgraded or high output alternator?  Do you have a sub woofer amp and need some extra current to feed it?  This high current Alternator Upgrade cable for your BMW will increase current output to your battery and supply your electrical system with more power.

These Alternator Upgrade cables are hand made by a professional electrical technician with over 10 years professional experience using professional tools and techniques.  I'll explain and prove...see pictures below.

Each purchase is for a single 3ft (hole to hole) cable assembly. Specifically cut to length for the BMW M20 motor and similar.  This should work with any inline 6 or 4 cylinder with alternator and starter mounted on the same side.  Please check your application first, before ordering.  Please contact me for custom lengths.  However, it is slightly longer than OEM to make for easier installation.

This cable will fit ALL BMW's engines EXCEPT for:
E30: M42
There is another ad specifically for M42

Here are the specs of the cable and components are used. Made in USA.

Cable Conductor - #2AWG 99.999% purified electrolytic copper
Cable Insulation - CCI Royal Excelene (resists oil, burning, abrasion, cold weather and is rated at 600 volts/3 hours, -58F to 221F)
Lugs - 3/8in dia through hole, copper
Heat shrink - Irradiated Polyolefin (flame retardant, -47F to 257F)
Additional specs - Highly flexible welding cable, which in my professional opinion, is the best power cable because its resistant to multiple climates, temperatures, oils, gas, and can withstand extreme amounts of current. Also highly conductive copper. These cables will last several decades!

Please see my other auction for matching Engine To Chassis Ground Cables!

Insulation is stripped, using professional techniques that avoids ANY possible nicks or scores.  Wire that is stripped in a un-professional manner will have nicks and scores that will break over time and/or during the moment of crimping. This will lead to failure of the termination.

First crimped using Klein crimpers under high pressure. Each end is soldered using 60/40 tin/lead and a torch.  Note the complete absorbing of solder.
Polyolefin heat-shrink tubing applied

Each termination is cleaned for maximum conductivity.

New Saab 9-3 leaks – Saab’s future?

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

New Saab 9-3 leaks It makes a change to have a Saab story that isn’t more doom and gloom and financial meltdown, but it does seem a bit of a coincidence that an image of the new Saab 9-3 should surface on the day Saab reveals the Chinese investment plans to put Saab back on its feet. Still, casting our cynicism aside, the new Saab 9-3 will be a key part of the plans to revive Saab – but this leaked photo isn’t the first news we’ve had of the new 9-3. Apart from Victor Muller’s musings about Saab’s future, we saw a proper concept of the new 9-3 back at Geneva in the Spring when Saab called the Saab PhoeniX (the 9-3 Concept) an ‘Aeromotional Design’ and managed to allude to Saab’s background in fighter planes by saying the PhoeniX  ‘liquid metal’ forms and a dramatic jet canopy-inspired glasshouse’.

Volvo Concept Estate to become new Volvo V90?

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

The Volvo Concept Estate (pictured) looks set to be the new V90 The final in a trio of new concepts from Volvo showcasing their new platform and new direction debuted at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month as the Volvo Concept Estate. And it seems it might be heading for production. Not, as we expected, as a replacement for the Volvo V60, but as a larger car set to replace the V70 and to be dubbed the V90, according to Auto Bild.

BMW 5-series Gran Turismo at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

Fri, 22 May 2009

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 22 May 2009 13:53 At last, we can present the strangest new BMW for some time (and there have been a few): the new 5-series Gran Turismo, or GT for short. Motoring journos sometimes overuse the word ‘radical’, but the new BMW 5-series GT is one of the few new arrivals that is genuinely segment busting. In fact, when uploading this story we had to tag the article page on our website.
