If you thought the struggling global economy or high fuel prices might be hurting the world's supply of top-notch supercars, think again. Since March, AutoWeek editors have taken the wheel of not one, not two, but three of the most insane superperformers on the planet: the McLaren MP4-12C, the Ferrari FF, and most recently, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. We see a few common threads: lots of lightweight aluminum and carbon-fiber materials, engines punching out more than 590 hp, automated-manual gearboxes, and prices that put them up against the average price of a three-bedroom home in most markets.

By Liz Turner Motor Shows 20 March 2008 21:18  The third car of Suzuki’s dramatic Kizashi trilogy had its world debut at New York, and we’re told this handsome sports sedan is close to the production vehicle. When it arrives in the US this Fall, the powertrain will be a 3.6-litre DOHC V6 delivering 300bhp via a six-speed auto’ with paddle-shifters. No price has been announced, but it will offer ‘good value’.

The Ford Kuga gets a new diesel lump in two flavours for 2010/2011 It shouldn’t come as a much of a shock that Ford are sticking new diesel engines in the Ford Kuga. We reported back in February that the Kuga was due an engine transplant with the Mondeo also in line for some new oily bits. Ford sent us details of the new Mondeo engines for 2011 last month, and now its the turn of the Kuga.
