This listing is for a Single Black Racerdirect.net Chrome Lift Latch 3" Lap Belt. We have been asked by several people if I can provide these. We listen and here they are.  These belts have been tested and are street legal and meet FMVSS 209/302 protocols ( Industry safety standard for today's seat belts )  These are 3" wide ( regular passenger cars have 2" wide belts ) The belt measures out at 60" totally extended. ( I have a separate listing for 74" ) The anchors have been E-Coasted Black and are bolt in. This item will come with a tag stating that they meet FMVSS for those states still doing inspections. The belt will come with the patch pictured on the belt.  If you do not want the patch attached,  please leave a message at checkout.  These are great for those rides that don't want the hassle of putting in a three point system but want something better than the beat up 2" belt in the car.  Perfect for Restomods, Rat Rods, Convertibles, Trucks and Off Road applications. Dress up that ride with these high quality, safe belts.

BAC Mono moves to Liverpool

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

The BAC Mono with brothers Brigg & Mayor of Liverpool (pictured) The BAC Mono is in the public eye this week after its impressive performance on Top Gear, but even without the publicity from Top Gear the brothers Brigg were already doing very well with the Mono. So well, they’ve been looking for new premises to continue their growth and have settled on a move from Cheshire to Liverpool (just up the road) and a new facility on the Speke Hall Industrial Estate in South Liverpool is set to become the new home of the Mono. BAC’s new home in Speke will be up and running by the autumn, will create an additional 60 jobs in the local economy – and more in the supply chain – and is expected to turn out more than 100 Monos a year by 2015.

Infiniti Steer-by-Wire on the way (video)

Wed, 17 Oct 2012

Nissan has revealed that it plans to install an electronic steer-by-wire system in to its Infiniti models in 2013. As car makers seek to squeeze every last fraction of a mile out of their cars to hit economy and emissions targets, computer control of many of a car’s functions are controlled by computer, which means the official tests for economy and emissions can be guaranteed to produce predictable results. Now Nissan are to take electronic steering to its logical conclusion by eliminating any direct connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels (except in an emergency) with the first fly-by-wire steering system in a production car.
