NEW 3.0L MerCruiser
Marine Engine

This is a BRAND NEW 2013 MerCruiser 3.0L replacement marine engine rated at 140hp @ 4800 RPM / 177 lb-ft @3600 RPM (with a 2 barrel carburetor). This 3.0L marine engine is made specifically for marine applications. It includes everything that GM installs on all of their brand new 3.0L base marine engines. If you have a MerCruiser, OMC, Volvo Penta, Yamaha, etc with a 3.0L engine, then this engine will fit, bolt in, and work. This engine comes with all the original internal marine components including marine oil pan, spark plugs, corrosion resistant urethane paint, 14" flywheel, thermostat housing gasket, Delco Voyager distributor and coil, intake/exhaust gasket, circulation pump, harmonic balancer, cylinder head, two lifting eyes, oil filter, and everything shown in the pictures. This is NOT a rebuilt, remanufactured, or used engine.

  • If you have an existing 1990-2013 MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, etc 3.0L marine engine, then this 3.0L engine is your exact engine. It is a DIRECT replacement- no modifications are required.
  • If you have an existing pre-1990 MerCruiser, OMC, etc 3.0L (181ci) or 2.5L (153ci) marine engine, then this 3.0L engine will fit, bolt in, and work but you will need 1-3 additional parts. (see options below)

OPTIONS

  • 12-3/4" late model flywheel- This flywheel is needed if you are replacing a 2.5L or 3.0L engine from a pre-1990 boat/engine. Pre-1990 flywheels (which are 12-3/4")  will not fit, bolt on, or work on post-1990 3.0L engines- the crank bolt pattern is different. The 14" flywheel that comes with the engine will not work because it is too large for the pre-1990 bell housing AND the starter will not work with the 14" flywheel- you need to purchase a late model 12-3/4" flywheel which Michigan Motorz carries for $169. If your existing 3.0L engine is 1990 and later, then you do NOT need this flywheel.
  • Engine coupler - This coupler is needed for pre-1985 MerCuiser applications and pre-1990 OMC applications. Michigan Motorz carries this coupler for $149. If your existing 3.0L engine is 1990 and later, then you do NOT need this coupler.
