Beware of cheap "Poly" wire loom Don't make the mistake of using cheap polyethylene (poly) wire loom under the hood of your car or truck. Polyethylene is not rated for high temperatures and does not meet automotive specifications. The wire loom in this listing is Nylon, and is made for the high temperatures of your engine bay. High Temp Nylon wire loom Features Perfect for use on automotives, Nylon loom is a split tubing manufactured from Nylon 6, an impact modified, heat stabilized material which withstands the extreme temperatures of engines and other heat-generating components. This heat rating is based on a 3,000 hour continuous heat age; essentially, the tubing can be placed near the vehicle engine, and the vehicle could travel at 60 miles per hour for 3,000 continuous hours (180,000 miles) before any material deterioration occurs Nylon loom has a "Continuous Use" rating of 125° C (257° F) and a "Maximum Temperature" rating of 175° C (347° F). GM China opens Advanced Design Center in Shanghai
Wed, 19 Dec 2012General Motors China has opened a new advanced design studio as part of the establishment of its Advanced Technical Center in Shanghai. The Advanced Design Center will provide GM China's designers the tools to explore future mobility solutions and technology integration on a local and global scale. "Our new Advanced Design Center in Shanghai is part of the GM Global Design Center network, which webs from California to Germany to India and Korea and points beyond," said Wulin Gaowa, design director of the GM China Advanced Design Center.
2013 Volkswagen Beetle diesel starts at $24,065
Mon, 11 Jun 2012The diesel-powered 2013 Volkswagen Beetle will carry a sticker price of $24,065 including $770 in destination charges when it arrives in dealerships in August. It will be the first diesel Bug to hit the United States since 2006. The 2.0-liter turbocharged oil burner will join the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine and the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine in the lineup.

The newly created R-Line trim package adds 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; a modified front fascia that features more aggressive styling cues; stainless-steel scuff plates; and R-Line badges to the base-level CC. VW's RNS 315 navigation system also comes standard on R-Line vehicles.
