Chrysler unplugs Envi electric-vehicle division

Envi, the team of engineers charged with developing electric vehicles for Chrysler, has been disbanded. A spokesman told Reuters that development of electric cars will be integrated into the company's traditional structure. “Envi is absorbed into the normal vehicle-development program,” Chrysler spokesman Nick Cappa told the wire service.

Suzuki on Thursday released its 60-second Super Bowl commercial that highlights the all-wheel-drive version of the Suzuki Kizashi Sport. This is the second consecutive winter-themed Super Bowl commercial for Suzuki. Last year, the Kizashi battled “wicked weather” snowmen inspired by the comic strip “Calvin and Hobbes.” The new ad features Inuit people and their sled dogs.

Rain doesn't dampen spirits at Orphan Car Show

With rain falling as the show cars arrived, organizers worried that moving the 15th-annual Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show from its original June weekend to late September wasn't going to work out after all. It was rescheduled last year after heavy rain in June and participants voted to make the change permanent.
