Here is a rather vintage and different looking radio. We have gone through this radio re-capping it. We replaced the electrolytics and the normal capacitors. This radio looks fairly nice and plays good. It takes the old kind of antenna connector from the early 30s.We do not have the head or cables to go with this radio. The radio itself has no on off switch in it so you will want to find a head that has the switch built into it.This radio has a speaker built into it so you won't need a speaker. The whole radio is in side this round drum speaker with exception to the cables and head. This radio is a  6 volt vibrator tube type radio. This is a rather different and unique radio.I don't come across one like this very often.   Feel free to email questions or comments.

Lotus Evora 414E Range Extender EV moves forward

Sun, 28 Oct 2012

The Lotus Evora 414E – a Lotus Engineering range extender hybrid project – is still moving ahead with dynamic and durability testing now underway. On the surface the Evora 414E looked like every other Evora, but under the skin sat the first version of a Lotus range-extender platform with a pair of electric motors and a small, 3-cylinder range-extender engine promising impressive performance and economy. Despite the reveal of the 414E at Geneva in 2010, there’s not been a huge amount of news on Lotus pushing forward with the project, or at least not until we got the Infiniti Emerg-E Concept at Geneva this year that turned out to be underpinned by the Evora 414E platform.
