355 Chevy short block engine kit with balanced rotating assembly. Great for entry level circle track racing or street performance. Kit includes remanufactured 350 Chevy engine block bored .030 over. Four bolt main caps are added with ARP main cap bolts. Seasoned block is oven baked and shot peened to settle molecular structure, then magnafluxed for cracks. Block is precision machined on 4-axis CNC equipment and finish honed for moly rings, new cam bearings and brass frost plugs are installed This block is a GM 2-bolt roller block converted to 4-bolt mains and 2-piece rear main seal. Has passengers side dipstick. Fully ballanced rotating assembly kit has performance series remanufactured GM pink rods with ARP Wave-Loc bolts, hypereutetic 2-relief flat top pistons with press fit pins, nodular cast 3.48" stroke crankshaft, Hastings moly ring set and King tri metal bearings. The lightweight two-seater is powered by Vauxhall’s turbo 2.0-litre unit – lifted from the Astra VXR – and it’s priced at £29,495. Err, yes – we also feel the SC250’s looks might be a bit of a stumbling block to someone about to flash the best part of £30k on a track-based racer.
