Listed for a "Buy it Now, or Make an Offer" for...a 4-51 "Vintage 1950's" Detroit GM Diesel Marine Engine,

Model # (43200LH,) Serial # (4C-1888). Did you know??..This Engine Design does not have any Valves in the 

Head, being a totally Air Scavaging Engine, with the Cylinder Liners having Ports on one side for the Blower 

Intake Air and the other side is for the Exhaust Out!....Engine is Used and Sold "AS-IS".... This 4-51 has the 

"Original Aluminum ID Parts Data Plate" on the Valve Cover, which is Very Rare, that it's still there! (Pictured). 

Heat Exchanger, Starter, Air Silencer,  Raw Water and Fresh Water Pumps, Marine Gear Less the Cover and the 

Throttle Air Bellows is missing. This 4-51M Detroit GM Diesel Engine is the 1,888th one Made,probably in 

1954 or 1955 and allot of them are still out there running, mostly the Industrial and Marine Versions.....

Car door panels and fenders are generally made of steel, sometimes of aluminum or plastic composites, and you can't see through them. Car windows, on the other hand, are made of a transparent sandwich of glass and plastic - and you can see through them. But in the future there will be variable degrees of transparency: translucent elements where once there were none, traditional window areas that will have opaque elements and graduated progressions from opaque to see-through.

College for Creative Studies students among Ferrari design-contest finalists

Detroit's College for Creative Studies is among seven international design schools chosen for the final stage of the Ferrari World Design Contest. The competition started with 50 schools tasked to create the Ferrari of the future. The jury encountered a difficult selection process for stage two and raised the maximum number of finalists from six to seven.
