These tie rods are a low friction design, which provides smooth steering control and also results in longer durability. The socket is a highly finished steel ball surface surrounded by a engineered socket bearing with a quality lubricant to reduce the internal friction. The stud is casehardened for durability and finally capped with a crack-resistant dust boot. That is why these tie rods are guaranteed five years!!

Audi’s Urban Future program continues with the ‘Design Miami: Streets without limits’ piece. Designed by architect Bjarke Ingels, the digital street has been created for the forthcoming Design Miami 2011 exhibition. Originally penned back in 2010 for the Audi Urban Future Award architecture competition, Bjarke Ingels Group have now tweaked their original submission into a three-dimensional LED installation. Depicting a street without limits, the installation shows a scenario of the future where functionality can change to prioritize pedestrians or traffic.

In another chilling sign that auto sales are likely to remain stalled, a new study finds that Americans intend to keep their cars longer, indicating a general concern about the industry and the overall economy. The number of new-car buyers planning to keep their rides more than four years has risen to 59 percent, according to a study released Tuesday by California marketing research firm AutoPacific. That's an increase from last year, when about 45 percent of new buyers intended to wait more than four years for their next purchase, and it's up from 2005's tally of 46 percent.
