Up for auction is a New  Mopar  Performance 426 Hemi Block that is the one that everybody wants and is not available anymore ! Part # 2468330-M. This block has never been assembled. It does have some ( slight ) surface rust since it has been sitting in my finished basement for some time. Also included is a Mopar Performance  single 4 barrel intake, a nice set of heads that have never been ported or cracked. One did have a slight repair ( you can see in the pictures). This also includes new valves, springs, locks and retainers. There is also a very nice set of rockers included, a set of new chrome valve covers, new K1 rods, new hemi oil pan, a set of lightly used 30 over diamond racing pistons with a 9.5 compression ratio. Janet Gutherie, the first woman to race in the Indianapolis 500, said overcoming the numerous hurdles set before her as she tried to forge a racing career was something that she just had to do. “I wanted it so much,” Gutherie said during a seminar at the 16th Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance on Friday, “I was willing to put up with whatever they would throw at me.” AutoWeek's own Denise McCluggage, a renowned racer in her own right, was also part of the Women in Racing panel discussion that also included racers Judy Stropus, Erin Crocker, Jessica Brunelli and Lynn St. James.
