Qoros reveals design language ahead of Geneva debut
Wed, 05 Dec 2012New car manufacturer Qoros' future design language has been revealed ahead of the world debut of its new sedan for China and Europe at the Geneva motor show in March. The brand's first production car will be showcased alongside two concept cars that will preview the future design direction of Qoros' range. The company was created in 2007 by a 50:50 joint venture between Chery Automobile and Israel Corporation, allowing the Qoros designers the chance to create a new design language from scratch.

It took more than a year for Christian von Koenigsegg and his intrepid team to complete the first car, but it was worth the wait. Probably the supercar star of the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, the One:1 gets 1360 HP and weighs just 1360KG – the the world’s first 1:1 power to curb weight ratio supercar – and has 2G cornering ability and 610kg of downforce at 160mph thanks to active aerodynamics.
Ex Ford, Mazda designer to head styling at Renault
Fri, 10 Apr 2009Former Ford Motor and Mazda designer Laurens van den Acker will succeed Patrick le Quement as head of design at French automaker Renault. Van den Acker, 43, quit as head of design at Mazda earlier this month. He will join Renault on May 15 and assume le Quement's full responsibilities starting on Nov.
