This is an original used driver side cast liftgate glass retainer for the 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevrolet Nomad or Pontiac Safari.  It attaches to the inside of the cast liftgate to retain the glass.  This is a solid piece with some pitting.  Good core for chrome plating.  No dents or breaks.  All screw holes are intact.  Payment is due within 48 hours.  I combine shipping.  If you have any questions or need a combined shipping quote, feel free to contact me.

UK roads slide in global satisfaction survey

THE UK has slipped yet further down a league table of roads quality, according to data released in the 2013-14 World Economic Forum report. Having previously sat in an already meagre 24th place, the UK has fallen to 28th, equal to Namibia – and the Republic of Ireland. The study, which is based on people’s perceptions of their own country’s infrastructure, highlights growing dissatisfaction among the British people regarding the state of the road network.

Motown may not have rediscovered its mojo but at least the car makers formerly known as the Big Three have regained a little bit of their old swagger since the misery of last year’s Detroit show. After all, it’s not every year that two out of three national car makers go bankrupt. The survivor, Ford, unsurprisingly looked the most confident at this year’s show, never mind that its star car was about as hometown as Bauhaus and bratwurst.
