 Just removed from a '57 Corvette, but fits 1956-1962 Corvettes and 1955-1964 Chevy passenger cars. Casting number 3743833. Ring and pinion count is 9/32, which is 3.55 ratio. Date is G180 (July 18, 1960). Correct "thin P", built in the Detroit plant, correct for both Corvette and passenger cars. The "thick P" rear end was built in the Buffalo plant, and is not correct for Corvettes. This unit has been sitting for MANY years and needs restoration.... Sold as is. U.S. new car sales surge at fastest pace in nearly 7 years

U.S. sales of cars and light trucks surged 9 percent in November 1.24 million units and rolled off dealership lots at the fastest pace in almost seven years. The industry's annualized sales rate, adjusted for seasonal factors, rose to 16.4 million last month, up from 15.3 million a year earlier and easily topping analysts' forecasts in the 15.8 million range.

Chrysler is to get a complete overhaul in 2011. After months of uncertainty, its new masters at Fiat are planning a raft of new models and targets to more than double UK sales. Despite only selling 2692 Chryslers in the UK during 2009, Fiat and Chrysler marketing director Elena Bernardelli told Business Car magazine she expects Chrysler sales to exceed 6000 in 2011.
