Qoros GQ3

The Qoros GQ3 has been revealed ahead of its Geneva show debut in March. The GQ3, a C-segment saloon set to rival the Skoda Octavia, was designed by Gert Hildebrand and his design teams in Shanghai and Munich. Cyclists urged to make themselves visible

CYCLISTS have been warned to take precautions to make themselves easier to see, in time for the darker evenings of winter time. The clocks are set to wind back by an hour this Sunday, bringing darkness down on homeward commutes and making collisions involving cyclists statistically more likely. A survey of 1,000 cyclists, carried out by Autoglass, found that 48% had been caught without lights or high-visibility clothing when the clocks go back.

Ford Fiesta retains eco marathon title

A FORD Fiesta has been crowned the winner of the ALD Automotive/Shell Fuelsave MPG Marathon for the second year running. The 1.6-litre diesel Fiesta Econetic achieved 88.69mpg over 339.3 miles on what some observers say was the toughest course yet for the annual event. Hills, bad weather and heavy traffic were all obstacles faced by the 46 competitors who set out from Tankersley Manor, near Sheffield.
