Up for auction is a set of 1963 to 1982 Corvette custom rally race front & rear suspension components. Included are the front left & right spindle assemblies with custom hubs & rotors and the rear spindle assemblies with larger diameter & length studs. Custom anchoring studs were installed to meet scca requirements. Front rotors on these even look OK! All these parts came from a 1969 Corvette that was rally raced at Bridgehampton Raceway on Long Island, NY. This set has been sitting on my shelf for over 20 years but all components look to be in good usable condition. If you are building a C2 or C3 Corvette rally race car you may want to consider these. Audi S3 Saloon goes on sale in the UK – price from £33,240
Mon, 09 Dec 2013The Audi S3 Saloon (pictured) is now on sale in the UK If you want a relatively compact pocket rocket, Audi has you covered with the S3. So far, we’ve had the regular S3 and S3 Sportback (and the S3 Cabriolet is on the way), but if you prefer your S3 in a standard four-door saloon guise, you’re in luck – the Audi S3 Saloon has arrived in the UK. With the same 296bhp 2.0 litre TFSI engine as its S3 siblings, the S3 saloon offers strong performance – 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds – and an official combined economy of 40.9mpg (which means emissions of 159g/km (if you opt for the S Tronic gearbox).

Sat, 29 May 2010Nigel Mansell & Sons - Le Mans entrants 2010 Nigel Mansell is still one of our best known racing drivers, despite it being more than a year or two since he hung up his F1 helmet. But that hasn’t stopped him enjoying time behind the wheel of a fast motor or two and guiding the motor racing careers of his sons, Leo and Greg. Last year, perhaps a little tongue in cheek whilst being interviewed by Radio 2 jock and Ferrari nut Chris Evans, Nigel expressed a desire to get back in to F1 and said he could “…jump in a Ferrari [F1] tomorrow and be competitive.” But going backwards is not usually a sensible route – as Michael Schumacher can currently testify - but new challenges – whatever your age – are to be relished.

But the only price they gave us was the entry point of £13,980 for the A1 1.2 Sportback. But now Audi has had chance to get its calculators busy they’ve worked out what the new A1 five-door is going to cost right across the range, and made it a bit clearer what the five-door offers over and above the three door A1.
