Up for Sale is a new reproduction Transistor Ignition Distributor Coil Pick-Up "Bobbin" correct for 1964 to 1971 Corvette, Chevelle, Camaro, Nova & GTO (possibly other GM makes/models) equipped with the K-66 Transistor Ignition. These new Coil Pick-Ups are reproduced by the only Delco Remy licensed reproduction parts manufacturer of Delco brand parts. These new Coil Pick-Up "Bobbins" look very similar to the originals-even have the green/blue stripe on the wire lead, and perform as well as, actually better than the original!
In our experience of rebuilding Transistor Ignition Distributors; poor performance is usually attributed to a weak
Coil Pick-Up, weak magnet, or weak Coil (the amp usually works or not-no in between). The "bobbin" is a frequent part needed to be changed out, due to age, heat, vibration fatigue. We suggest (but it is not required) you step up your new Coil Pick-Up "Bobbin" to the companies' Coil Pick-Up assembly with stronger magnet, Amplifier and coils: which also, have the Delco Licensed Reproduction authorization (see my other listing for Amps & Coils).

Thu, 17 Mar 2011Salon Prive does a Night Shift for the Pommery Picnic It may be a bit of an exagerration to say that Salon Privé – one of our favourite ‘Car’ outings – is going to include a night shift in 2011 – but almost. Salon Prive’s move from the Hurlingham in Chelsea out to the less central – but more hospitable – Duke of Northumberland’s gaff at Syon Park means there’s room to expand the event, so we’re getting treated to the ‘Pommery Picnic’ on the Friday evening – 7pm ’til 11pm. As we never fail to mention when we bang on about Salon Prive, it’s just like a Garden Party in a wealthy friend’s house where he just happens to have littered the grounds with the world’s greatest cars.
