September saw new car registrations hit 403,136 – the highest figure for five and a half years – and the first time since 2008 new car registrations have broken the 400k barrier. Bentley has shown the convertible sister to the new Continental GT coupe: it's the new Conti GTC, due to be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. The Continental GTC Mk2 is entirely in line with the latest coupe - a sophisticated, subtle update to the 2005 original. There's the same smoother front end styling, the more squinty headlamps and a more exaggerated 'power line' with incredibly sharp creases.

A TELL-ALL survey of over 1,000 motorists across the country has revealed a North/South divide between the drivers of Great Britain when it comes to car hygiene. The poll conducted by IMO Car Wash Group discovered that people in the south of the country are the dirty rascals of Great Britain, with just 45 percent cleaning a car at least once a month. On the other hand, the Scottish shone through as the cleanest motorists, with 60 percent washing their car at least once a month.
