British Grand Prix 2011: Button and Hamilton's video guide
Thu, 07 Jul 2011Where will you be Sunday lunchtime? Anyone who's even remotely interested in Formula One will be in front of the TV getting psyched up as 12 F1 teams take to the world’s fastest circuit. Yes, 15 weeks in and 22 of the finest F1 drivers will be lining the grid, thinking about how they will tackle Abbey, the first right-hand corner, the fastest corner on the track where the drivers experience a peak G-force of 4.8g and over 4g for 1.3 seconds! At which point the car is experiencing two and a half times its weight in downforce through the corner.
2013 Australian Motor Show axed
Tue, 26 Mar 2013This year’s Australian Motor Show in Melbourne has been cancelled by its organizers three months before its planned opening. Falling attendance figures played a big part in taking the decision, as did what is seen as a lack of manufacturer support. The Australian International Motor Show Joint Venture's event director Russ Tyrie said the decision was taken "based on a consensus view of the automotive industry to focus limited marketing budgets in 2013 on firm-specific activities, rather than an industry-based motor show." The Volkswagen Group's decision not to attend may well have acted as the final nail in the coffin along with Hyundai's hesitancy despite initial support.
