Top view teaser shot of the new Jaguar XJ - and a teaser video below There really is nothing very new from Jaguar with this release, save to confirm a number of details on the new Jaguar XJ which you will already be aware of if you read here regularly. But Mike O’DriscollĀ  (MD of Jaguar Cars), speaking at the Shanghai Motor Show this morning, confirmed what we’ve already told you – that the new XJ will be revealed in full on 9th July. The new Jaguar XJ will come with all the Gen III engines in the JLR tool box.

College Exhibition: Royal College of Art - GE Plasticon project

Postgraduate students at London's Royal College of Art recently presented the results of a multi-disciplinary design project in collaboration with GE Plastics. As part of the 'PLASTicon' project, 17 RCA first year MA students researched, designed and built models of concept vehicles aimed at the needs of different markets - from SUV owners to Gen-Y consumers - utilising the capabilities of plastics. Beginning in December, the students from the Vehicle Design course as well as from Textiles, were split into six teams tasked with conducting research into specific scenarios, including emerging generations and emerging markets to meet specific challenges of today and tomorrow.

We've seen bits and pieces of it -- most notably, that statement-making spindle grille -- make it to production cars. But the 2015 Lexus RC F sport coupe, which is coming to Detroit this year, may come the closest to fulfilling the promise of the concept of anything we've seen so far.
