85 Gl1200 Ltd Goldwing Crash Bars Engine Guards - Really Nice! on 2040-parts.com
Clifton, Arizona, US
These Crash Bars came off a 1985
GL1200 LTD. Overall they're in very good condition - they're not perfect, but I don't believe any used part coming off a 28 year old bike can be called perfect! With that said, this is one of the nicest sets of crash bars I've seen come off a GL1200. Usually, these are going to have some noticeable road rash along the bottoms, and/or dimpled in tubes where highway pegs were installed, or the back sides where they mount against the frame is going to be pretty rusted up. This set has none of those problems. Both of them have a very slight bit of rashing (probably better described as scratching) near the front outside bottom corners that extends back along the bottom tubes - the close up photos show the worst of it. If you look really hard you may find a pit or two of rust near some of the welds. There are a couple of small spots where the chrome is slightly dulled. Other than what is described the worst thing you'll see is the odd very small rock chip and some very light scratching. All in all, they're not perfect, but you'll have to be looking from pretty close up to see anything wrong with them. Let
me know if you have questions or would like to see more pictures.
Thanks for checking out my listing.
A note about shipping costs: I'm in business
to make money selling bike parts - I am not in business to make
money by inflating shipping costs! Sometimes eBay's shipping calculator
is right on the money, but other times it can miss the mark by a good
bit. Sometimes a package ends up being lighter and/or smaller than
what I estimated when I input those numbers into a listing. Also,
depending on the dimensions of an item and your distance from me it is
actually sometimes cheaper to upgrade your shipping to Priority Mail
rather than use UPS. If you ever have a question regarding the shipping
cost shown in one of my listings please don't hesitate to shoot me an
email (please include your zip code).
The
bottom line is this - if what you pay in shipping costs ends up being
more than what it actually costs me to ship it, I'll rebate you back the
difference through PayPal.

Canadian Grand Prix: Vettel takes pole ahead of Hamilton
Sat, 08 Jun 2013Hamilton’s Mercedes (pictured) is in 2nd place for tomorrow’s Canadian Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton may have managed to make it four front rows in a succession, but it’s Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel who has taken pole position in a rain soaked Montreal for tomorrow’s 2013 F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Early on in qualifying Hamilton and Rosberg dominated in the Mercedes, but the Red Bulls started to show their pace and in Q2 they were at the top of the leaderboard. Felipe Massa managed to crash in Q2 and Button, held up in the pit lane whilst the accident was cleared, couldn’t manage to get across the start-finish line in time to do another lap, crashing out in Q2 and 12th palce on tomorrow’s grid.
Chevrolet Trax (2013) first official picture
Mon, 14 May 2012Chevrolet will show this new baby SUV called the Trax at the 2012 Paris motor show, before UK sales start in spring 2013. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Chevrolet showed a concept car called Trax at the New York auto show in 2007. That's the show car depicted in our second image (only one pic of the actual 2012 Trax has been released today).
Smart car tipping strikes San Francisco
Thu, 10 Apr 2014The Smart ForTwo: brilliantly designed to be safe, compact transport for two people and easily manoeuvred around the city. Although perhaps a little too easily manoeuvred, if what happened to four of the little blighters in San Francisco earlier this week is anything to go by. That’s not a standard parking procedure: ‘Smart car tipping’ has suddenly become a thing.
