Range Rover Evoque launches in China – Hello Beijing
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Range Rover Evoque launches in Beijing Land Rover may have bit of a shortage of parts for the new Range Rover Evoque, which is reportedly causing some delays for UK Evoque deliveries, but they’re still pushing on with launching the Evoque across the world. And this week it’s China, with the tag line ‘Hello Beijing’ attached to the launch. Last week Land Rover were out in India to launch the Evoque, with the Indian market getting the full range of Evoque models – that’s coupe and five-door with a choice of TD4 and SD4 diesels and the Si4 Ecoboost petrol.
70% of premium brand cars stolen are taken with the car’s own keys
Thu, 03 Apr 2014High-end SUVs – like the new Range Rover (pictured) are a prime target for car key thieves There was once a time when all it took to steal a car was a wire coathanger and the ability to hotwire the ignition. But as car makers have got better at securing the second most expensive asset most of us will ever own, car thieves have had to look for a different approach, and that approach is increasingly to relieve owners of the keys to their pride and joy. Cobra – the vehicle tracking firm – are reporting that a massive 70 per cent of all premium brand cars stolen in 2014 – with an average value of £40k, up £6k on 2012 – are being parted from their owners using that owners keys.
Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (2010) pictures and video
Wed, 15 Sep 2010If you thought we didn’t need another Carrera version of the current 911, look away now – the Carrera GTS is revealed today, boasting a little bit more power, a millisecond or two of extra performance, a smidge more width, a smattering of cosmetic frippery and costing £12,500 more than a boggo model. If you happen to be Che Guevara or any other revolutionary, it isn’t for you. Let’s face it, this is a fairly blatant run-out job, with the next 911 due next year, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be brilliant to drive.
