Mon, 07 Sep 2009Fiat are said to be bringing the 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari to Frankfurt Update 12/9/09: Fiat has now confirmed that the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari is real and will be at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We’ve updated with details and a full gallery of pictures of the Tributo Ferrari, and the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari Press Release. And earlier this year we speculated – whilst looking at the Abarth 500 – that it would make a great courtesy car for Ferrari and other Supercar makers.
Aston Martin V12 Vantage ends & big changes afoot at Aston Martin
Sat, 04 May 2013Launched as a limited edition V12 Vantage in 2009, by 2010 Aston decided there was enough demand to make the V12 Vantage a proper part of Aston’s standard offerings, and since then it’s been the same. The V12 Vantage has also spawned a Roadster version (which, we think, stays in production – at least for now) and the slightly bonkers V12 Zagato, which conspired to look a bit too extreme for an Aston and cost an arm and a leg. We know that AM sold around 1200 V12 Vantage Coupes, around 100 V12 Vantage Roadsters and a handful of V12 Zagatos, but now the run is at an end and we do wonder if there will be a replacement?
2012 Volvo S60 & XC60 R-Design get more oomph
Thu, 21 Apr 2011Volvo V60 R-Design - finally, more get up and go We’re quite partial to the Volvo S60 (actually, we’re even more partial to the Volvo V60) and we like how Volvo’s R-Design pack makes a real impact without making the car look like a boy racer’s wet dream. What’s also nice – in this age of parsimony – is that even if you opt for a lowly diesel version you can still have a Volvo that looks like it gets there in a hurry, even if it doesn’t. But our preference is always for a bit more power, especially if all the visual cues make you smile in anticipation, so we have been know to bemoan the lack of any sort of power boost – even as an add-on option – on Volvo’s R-Design cars.
