Lamborghini’s R&D Directror, Maurizio Reggiani, says the Lamborghini Urus will use a twin turbo V8 and weigh only 2,000kg. The Lamborghini Urus – Lambo’s new SUV offering – took the stage at the Geneva Motor Show in March and, although it received mixed reviews, is certainly heading for production. But the SUV we saw at Geneva is a long way of the real deal; nothing more than a shell to give the world a peek of how the Urus will look.

The Model S five-door hatchback will go into production in late 2011 at a rate of 20,000 per year. Prices will start at $49,900 for the base model, a price that assumes the $7,500 current Federal tax credit available.

You may think MINI has stretched the ‘brand’ way beyond common sense, but Fiat are running a close second with endless variations on the 500 theme. This is the latest – the Fiat 500L MPW. The 500L MPW (it stands for ‘Multi Purpose Wagon but will be called the 500L Living outside the UK) is the already odd Fiat 500L stretched by 201mm to add in a couple of extra kiddie seats in the back.
