Porsche 918 Spyder gets Martini Racing livery
Tue, 31 Jul 2012The Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid supercar has been revealed in traditional Martini Racing livery, an option available to buyers. The Porsche 918 Spyder has been cropping up lately with a black and white version of the iconic Martini Racing livery as 918 Spyder Prototypes strut their stuff on Europe’s roads. But now Porsche has gone the whole hog and struck a deal with Martini to revive the Martini Racing livery used by Porsche in the 1970s for its new hybrid supercar, and buyers of the 918 Spyder will be able to option their new car up with Martini logos.
2015 Chevrolet Cruze gets a facelift and new connectivity
Sun, 13 Apr 2014The 2015 facelift for the Chevrolet Cruze Saloon With the New York Auto Show looming this month, Chevrolet has revealed a facelift for the Cruze for the 2015 MY, although it’s unlikely the UK will see it. With GM trying to make sense of its European operations, it plans to drop the Chevrolet brand from the UK and Europe and concentrate on VAuxhall and Opel, so it seems likely the updates to the Cruze will be just of academic interest to buyers on this side of the Pond. Cosmetically, the changes are not huge for the Cruze saloon with the usual fodder of titivated lights (the addition of LED running lights on high-end models), a tweaked front end and some new colour choices.
Volvo Concept You (2011) at Frankfurt motor show
Tue, 13 Sep 2011The Concept You, says Volvo, combines a sleek coupe-like exterior with a high-tech interior that keeps the driver in command via intuitive smart-pad technology. It also gives us a first taste of Volvo’s design direction as it readies the next-gen S80. Designed by Peter Horbury, Concept You builds on Concept Universe, which was shown at Shanghai 2011, and is based on Volvo’s new Scalable Platform Architecture.
