Updated 2014 Volkswagen Polo prices confirmed

Volkswagen has confirmed its new 2014 Polo supermini will go on sale in the UK on 23 April 2014, with prices starting from £11,100 for the entry-level 60hp 1.0-litre S variant. Prices rise to £19,715 for the range-topping five-door Polo Blue GT model fitted with VW’s 150hp 1.4-litre TSI petrol turbo engine with cylinder deactivation technology. Bentley considers S-Tronic technology for upcoming V8 Continental

Bentley is considering equipping its future V8-powered Continental GT variant with a dual-clutch transmission that sister-company Audi badges as S-Tronic. Bentley's engineers are doing engineering studies on the feasibility of packaging the S-Tronic into the Continental's transmission tunnel. The major challenge is re-engineering and producing the GT's underbody and running gear to accept the S-Tronic, which is a different shape than that of the six-speed ZF that the W12 GT will employ.

Almost 90% of drivers ignoring MOT checks

AN INCREDIBLE 86% of drivers think their car will pass its MoT test first time and without the need for any remedial or service work. A further 62% of British drivers fail to put any money aside to help with the cost of an MoT and any repairs that result from the legally required annual test. The research by Asda Money found that only 7% of drivers think their car will fail its MoT.
