2012 Lexus GS Spied
Sat, 16 Jul 20112012 Lexus GS Spied at the Nurburgring It’s not exactly a huge surprise that there’s a 2012 Lexus GS pounding around the Nurburgring in disguise, or that we managed to grab spy photos. Well, there is perhaps the question of ‘Why test a saloon car at the Nurburgring at all?’, but that’s another argument. Subaru XV gets a price cut – down by £1300 on 1.6 litre versions
Sat, 18 May 2013It wasn’t a bad starting point for an able mid-sized crossover – a high-riding Impreza, in all but name – but it wasn’t the cheapest offering in the class. But now, with the Yen being a bit kinder to Japanese car makers, Subaru has decided to nudge the price a bit lower to start the XV range off below £20k for the first time. The price drop for the XV only applies to the 1.6 litre petrol versions, but you can now get the entry-level XV 1.6i S for a more affordable £19,995 rising to £23,415 for the XV 1.6i SE with the Lineartronic gearbox, reductions across the range of £1300.
Toyota studying larger Prius people-hauler
Fri, 20 May 2011Toyota's Prius family could continue to grow, literally, as the automaker studies an additional version of the popular hybrid that carries three rows of seats. The three-row Prius would not be the same vehicle as the Prius Alpha sold in Japan, which basically crams a third row of seats into the cargo area of the five-seat Prius V to be sold in the United States starting this fall. To the contrary, this potential Prius would be large enough to hold seven people as well as their stuff, said Bob Carter, Toyota Division general manager.
