Jaguar will launch the all-new F-Type roadster next year as a halo car for the English brand. The F-Type takes styling cues from Jaguar's iconic E-Type from the 1960s and is expected to compete with cars such as the Porsche 911, said Andy Goss, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America. "We have to make sure the F-Type has an emotional pull similar to the Porsche 911," Goss said.

The National Automobile Museum of Turin, Italy, has reopened its doors to welcome a bevy of Pininfarina models from past and present into its midst. The display takes on some of the milestone models of Pininfarina design and sees a wide selection of cars take up residence amidst the 200 others already on display at the recently renovated museum. Of the more desirable models being shown is a 1947 Cisitalia 202, the two seater berlinetta that has been described as 'moving sculpture' by Arthur Drexler, the highly influential curator and director at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

GM posts $6 billion loss, burns $10.2 billion in cash as sales fall

General Motors, facing a June 1 U.S. restructuring deadline to avoid bankruptcy, posted a $6 billion net loss in the first quarter and burned through $10.2 billion in cash as global auto sales plunged. GM had $11.6 in cash reserves on March 31, down from $14.2 billion at the end of the fourth quarter.
