Audi RS5 engine confirmed, plus RS5 cabrio

We had previously reported the RS5 would use a twin-turbo iteration of this engine, but a senior source has told us it will not feature forced induction. We’re told it’s the same high-revving engine that powered the outgoing RS4, albeit spruced up with the latest Ingolstadt know-how.

2012 Suzuki Splash launches

The Suzuki Splash gets a bit of a facelift for 2012 with tweaks to the bumpers, grill and interior trim. If you’re looking for something to potter around the urban landscape – and need a bit more room than the normal city car – the new Suzuki Splash may be right up your street. With its upright driving position and extra room compared to the usual city box, the Swift does a decent job of ferrying families round cities.

Heuliez concept collection up for auction

A collection of coachbuilt specials and concept cars by French company Heuliez is to be sold at auction. The selection of 56 cars spans a huge spectrum from a Fiat 500 up to Le Mans racers but what really caught our eye were the oddball one-off conversions. Highlights include the Citroën BX Break De Chasse ‘Dyana', a three-door shooting break version of Gandini's classic, the 1972 Peugeot 204 Taxi H4 and the targa-roofed Citroën SM Espace.
