Interior Motives magazine has announced its judging panel for the 2004 Interior Motives Design Awards. This year's judges include some of the world's most respected senior automotive designers and design managers from carmakers and interior suppliers. Mitsubishi Concept G4 to debut in Bangkok

Mitsubishi will unveil its Concept G4 at the upcoming Bangkok motor show. The Concept G4 compact sedan is shown in only one sketch, meaning we have few details, but we can see it features Mitsubishi's latest design language first seen on the CA-MiEV in Geneva, for example the headlamps, rear lamps, vertical fog lamp bezels and grille. Mitsubishi claims that the concept's short nose will help with visibility and maneuverability, while the interior will allegedly be among the roomiest in its class.

Volkswagen engineers have put the Touareg on a diet as they prepare the next generation of the SUV for a 2010 launch as a 2011 model. The new Touareg will shed pounds via a greater use of aluminum. The goal: Shave 500 pounds to 600 pounds from the current Touareg's curb weight of nearly 5,100 pounds.
