David Coulthard drove a Mercedes SLS AMG, Jake Shepherd drove a golf ball and together they created a new Guinness World Record. What’s a good way to get some free PR for a car maker? A Guinness World Record sounds like a good idea (just like MINI in our story earlier today) as does a link to Golf  (lots of drivers play golf) and perhaps a well known name or two.

More than 300 senior members of the automotive design community will be attending the Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 ceremony to be held at Le Cab, Paris on 24 September, during the Paris Motor Show. First tease for the Subaru VIZIV 2 Concept The Subaru VIZIV 2 Concept teased for a Geneva Motor Show debut is yet another concept from Subaru that points to a new crossover – at some point. Subaru kicked of the VIZIV Concept (VIZIV apparently stands for ‘Vision for Innovation’) path at last year’s Geneva Motor Show with the first VIZVIZ concept which, said Subaru, represented the future design and vision for technical innovation. Subaru aren’t saying anything much about VIZIV 2 ahead of Geneva, but the original VIZIV Concept came with a four-pot 2.0 litre boxer engine helped along by a pair of electric motors powering the back wheels and another electric motor providing power for the front wheels.
