Original Alfa Romeo spider 125 mph Jaeger speedometer in good used condition. I did test it and at 900 rpm it was at 30 mph. At 1600 rpm it was at 54 mph. If you have a later speedo that does not go as high as 125, take it out and see if this is compatible with your transmission speedo gears by running it at these rpm's. As long as it is not too late of a model and not electronic of course, it may work for you. They started to change the transmission speedo gears pretty late in the game. I think there was a minor change when the diff's went from 4/56 to 4/11 which started in 1979? Actually I seem to remember whatever gear set that was, was a 9/21?? I have CRS and can't remember stuff!! Lens is very clean, no scratches at all, trip reset works, black ring has small scratches but is very clean as you can see on pictures. A tip here is never store speedometers face down. And even though they tell you to at some places...... Do not lube your cables. A slight bit of cable lube has seeped through the face plate securing screws and has stained it a tad. Not noticeable at some angles. I tried to take as many pictures as possible. Please look carefully before bidding. Millage on speedometer is 110184 miles and the trip works. Tesla planning self-driving car
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Tesla are planning a self-driving car Now that car makers have been fitting radar and sensors to their cars for some time, which allow stuff like adaptive cruise – which automatically slows behind traffic and can even bring the car to s stop on its own – the race is on to make cars even more autonomous. We’ve reported recently on the Mercedes Intelligent Drive S-Class that negotiated its way – more or less – on a 60 mile route in Germany, and on Volvo’s self-parking system which will take your car in to a multi storey car park by itself, park, and meet you when you return. Google has also been playing with self-driving cars and has even gained permission to run its autonomous cars in California, and now Tesla are joining the fray with plans for an autonomous car in the next three years.

Thu, 30 Jun 2011Claire takes the BMW 1M Coupe up the Goodwood hillclimb Although the Goodwood Festival of Speed doesn’t actually start until tomorrow, today saw the second year of the Goodwood Moving Motor Show kicking off a long weekend of petrolhead joy. The USP of the Goodwood MMS is the opportunity – for a lucky few – to take an interesting bit of kit up the Goodwood hillclimb. This year Claire had drawn the tickets for the day; tickets Volvo had kindly sent us (many thanks, guys) after they asked us to drive the hillclimb in a Polestar car.
