The Audi version of the Gallardo Superleggera - The Audi R8 GT We knew Audi were working on a hardcore version of the R8. Rumours have persisted almost since the V10 version of the R8 bowed in at Detroit last year that Audi wanted to produce a ‘Superleggera’ version of its supercar. We reported in March that Audi were planning a Spyder version of the V8 but also a lightweight version of the R8 V10. We thought it would be the R8 V10 RS.

2014 Lexus CT 200h (pictured) gets a price cut The 2014 Lexus CT 200h was revealed at the Guangzhou motor show in China back in November, and now it’s ready to order in the UK with a raft of updates and a price cut across almost the whole range. Now starting from £20,995 for the CT 200h S – £1,00 less than before – the S also sees its emissions reduced to just 82g/km and extra visual appeal with a new grill that makes the car seem wider and lower. Further up the CT 200h range, the F Sport gets the new spindle grill the IS F Sport gets as well as a new spoiler at the back with integrated air ducts.

McLaren could be about to buy up BMW's F1 engine operations BMW are quitting F1 at the end of this season, and the Sauber team is up for sale. But the engine operations are not part of the deal. So it’s starting to look as if McLaren are looking to buy up the engine side from BMW and become a completely independent F1 car builder – just like Ferrari.
