You are bidding on just about a full quart Eclipse Black to White Alsa Corp. automotive paint. Eclipse is a single event heat reactive basecoat
that changes from Black to whatever base coat you have applied underneath. Eclipse can be
sprayed through any standard paint equipment. It was bought for a project car that had been sold, so this quart has been shelved for some time. As seen in the picture, on a piece of white cardboard, its heat changing properties still work fine. It looks obviously so much better on a real application. Only a small amount of the quart was used for sampling.

Ford's young driver training proves a hit
Thu, 17 Oct 2013FORD'S new young driver training programme, dubbed Ford Driving Skills for Life, has proved an instant hit with the first two sessions being substantially oversubscribed. Over 500 applications were made for the 300 free places available at Excel in London and the Trafford Centre in Manchester, and the participants aged between 17 and 24 received tips and guidance in the controlled environment of a purpose-built track. Manchester University student, Ryan Harrison, who took part in the free driver training, said: “I’ve learned so much today, especially in the skid car, learning what I’ve done wrong in the past without realising it and where to put my hands on the wheel.

That new appeal is mainly down to AML finally ditching their ancient six-speed auto ‘box and replacing it with a new 8-Speed ZF ‘box – which cleverly sits inside the old housing – increasing performance, drivability and economy in one fell swoop. The Vanquish now gets to 62mph in a very respectable 3.8 seconds and can top 200mph, despite which official economy improves to 31mpg (more like 16mpg in the real world).
